Set the mode dial (marked in red) to , P, A, S, M or SCN.

What is a direct button?
This button lets you set functions directly.

: Switch between monitor/ viewfinder

: Flash pop-up

: Shadow Adjustment Technology

: Display the shooting guide/ Change the display

: Image stabilizer

Other functions are assigned to the arrow pad buttons.

 

: Change the exposure compensation/
  aperture value (or shutter speed)

 

: Self Timer

Press the direct button to display the function setting menu.
Let's try setting the macro. Press the  button (marked in red) and select a setting.

Once you have determined the setting, press the OK/FUNC button (marked in red) to confirm.

Let's set the flash next.
To use the flash, you first need to raise the flash.
Press the flash switch (marked in red).

Press the  button (marked in red) and select a setting.

Close the flash with your finger when you have no intention to use it.

Press the  button (marked in red) to change the screen display.
