The bestseller from Olympus was pronounced the ‘Best Digital Budget Compact Camera’ by the organisation, which honours the highest quality products in the field of photography. The new Olympus C-315 ZOOM basically boasts the same special blend of design, performance, handling and affordability while resolution has been significantly boosted to 5.1 million pixels to provide exceptional picture quality. The C-315 ZOOM is designed to make digital photography accessible and attractive for ambitious beginners. Its predecessor’s winning combination of user-friendliness and high-quality has now been crowned with the additional advantage of 5.1 million pixel resolution. Photographers therefore now have more freedom, allowing larger print-outs and cropping of images without any visible quality loss. This new higher resolution joins features such as a bright 2.8x optical zoom lens for brilliant close-ups and five scene programmes providing convenience and adaptability. In addition, the
C-315 ZOOM also offers a Super Macro mode, enabling successful shooting from as close as 2cm from your subject. And for those valuing even wider versatility, a movie recording function has also been thrown in. Results can be conveniently reviewed and appraised on the camera’s integrated 4.6cm LCD.

As you would expect from a model promising to enhance user-friendliness and simplicity, the C-315 ZOOM supports PictBridge, meaning you don’t even need a PC to print from the camera – just connect straight to a compatible printer such as the Olympus P-10 to create glossy photos. Alternatively, effortless, one-touch printing is also possible with printers that incorporate the ImageLink print system. Images are saved to xD-Picture Cards (16MB card supplied). These small, fast and durable cards are available in capacities of up to 1GB. For users without printer access or those on the move, xD-Picture Cards can also be taken to a photo dealer, where first-class prints can be easily obtained.
