The 8.0 Megapixel µ 840 is a powerful yet elegant addition to the award-winning Olympus µ series. Its 5x optical zoom (equiv. to 36-180mm) lets you get up close to subjects without needing to change positions. Integrated Dual Image Stabilisation, a generous HyperCrystal LCD and a suite of advanced imaging tools make the µ 840 ideal for stylish compact photography.

For extreme close-ups, a Super Macro function with a minimum shooting distance of 3cm delivers high-resolution images. In conjunction with an Olympus xD-Picture Card, this model also features a new in-camera Panorama mode. In addition, 20 scene modes ensure results are optimised for a wide range of shooting conditions.

The smart metallic body of the versatile µ 840 is available in a range of four stylish colours: Starry Silver, Midnight Black, Ocean Blue and Candy Pink.
