1. AF frame points
When choosing 3 AF frames mode in the Single AF, the position of the automatically chosen metering field will be displayed on the LCD in the viewfinder.

2. Shutter release function
Images can be taken conveniently using single as well as continuous autofocus (S/C-AF), by keeping the release button halfway status. So the values as AF and Exposure will be kept depending on the focus mode and the AE lock settings you chose in the menu.

3. Languages
There are two different versions available, interesting for the Asian market.
Language Set 1: Japanese, English, French, German, Spanish, Korean
Language Set 2: Japanese, English, French, German, Spanish, Simplified Chinese
Just activate the checkbox in the Firmware Update window “Display all available versions” to see all versions.

1. Improved sharpness
Enhances sharpness level up to +5.
The sharpness setting screen has been modified as shown below.

2. Exposure precision
Improves exposure precision during macro shooting with macro flash system in the program shooting mode (P).

3. Recovery time
Decreases recovery time from the sleeping mode.

4. Improved ERASE SETTING
Erase selected frames
When you press the arrow pad to go to the next index screen (up/down) or rotate the main dial to change the number of frames in the index, one of the screens below appears depending on the ERASE SETTING.
When ERASE SETTING is set to NO (factory default):
The following SEL. IMAGE screen appears. If you select RESET and press the OK button, all frames selected for erasure will be cancelled at the same time. After erasure has been cancelled, you can go to the next index screen or change the number of frames in the index.
* You cannot go to the next index screen or change the number of frames in the index unless you erase the pictures or cancel your selection.

When ERASE SETTING is set to YES:
The ERASE SELECTED screen appears.
