Aperture Priority Mode, 1/8 sec., F3.5, ISO100, exposure compensation: +1.7EV.

Shooting tips:

  • Use a tripod for this kind of close-ups to avoid blurred images
  • By missing the right focus the detail of the water drop will be lost. Therefore, using manual focus is suggested to set the focus

Shooting tips:

  • The DIGITAL ED 35mm 1:3.5 has the closest focusing distance of all ZUIKO DIGITAL standard zoom lenses of only 14cm
  • To ensure a sharp focus shoot the water drop from the side and the defocus effect will stick out even more

Shooting tips:

  • To emphasize the dimension place also defocused subjects in the background
  • Additionally light reflections from a wall or indirect light from the back will create a deep dimensional image
  • Use the maximum aperture of 1:3.5 to create a decent defocus effect of the background
