Why especially this lens?
- The large aperture of 1:2.0 produces excellent contrast and captures many subtleties with a outstanding smooth defocus effect
- A focal length of 50mm is not only suitable as macro lens but also ideal for portrait shooting as it positively underlines the proportions

Shooting conditions: E-3, ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 50mm 1:2.0 Macro, Aperture Priority Mode, 1/4 sec., F2.0, ISO100, exposure compensation: +1.7EV.
Shooting tips:
- Do not capture the whole tulip, instead frame just a part of it and defocus the rest to produce more interesting pictures
- Use the maximum aperture to produce images with a really small depth of field

Shooting conditions: E-420, ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 50mm 1:2.0 Macro, Aperture Priority Mode, 1/50 sec., F2.0, ISO100, exposure compensation: +2.7EV.
Shooting tips:
- Normally if the subject is far away the depth of field effect is not that powerful. But due to the max. aperture of F2.0 the 50mm macro lens can generate a beautiful depth of field effect
- For this picture the light which was coming from from the back window was so bright that the exposure compensation was adjusted
