  • Frank Drewalowski was born on 21 April 1965 in Mölln, Germany. In 1990 he completed a Diploma in Biomedical Engineering at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany. This was followed with a Diploma in Industrial Engineering at The University of  Applied Sciences, Kiel, Germany in 1993.

    Professional career
    Frank Drewalowski’s professional career began at Olympus in 1993 when he became an Assistant Product Manager in the  International Endoscopy Department. In 2000, after spending about a year as Department Manager, Service & Sales Management with Olympus France, he returned to Olympus Medical Systems Europa GmbH in Hamburg to take on the role of Department Manager GI/EUS/BF  and Service Marketing Division. Several promotions followed, and starting from 2006 he was appointed Managing Director Medical in the DACH region in parallel to his European role as General Manager Medical Endoscopy & Surgical.
    In 2009 Frank Drewalowski was made Regional Managing Director Medical, Microscopy and Consumer Business, Olympus Deutschland GmbH,  with responsibility for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. And in April 2011 he was appointed Managing Director Medical Systems Division and Micro Imaging Solutions Division at Olympus Europa Holding GmbH.
  • Miquel Àngel Garcia was born on 5 July 1970 in Barcelona, Spain. In June 1997 he graduated with a degree in Telecommunications Engineering at  Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona. He then undertook post-degree studies in Finance and Marketing at various business schools in Barcelona, which included obtaining an MBA at EAE & UPC University and completing a Senior Management Program at IESE Business School.

    Professional career
    Miquel Àngel Garcia’s professional career in Olympus began in 2001 as a Consumer Products Division Manager after seven years experience in Sony Europe. The initial focus of this new role was to build up the Consumer Division at the recently established Olympus Spanish subsidiary.

    In 2005, Miquel Àngel Garcia began developing his European career at Olympus and for the next three years combined his Spanish role with a new position as South Europe Regional Manager. From 2008 he worked exclusively for Olympus Europe’s Consumer Product Division, first as Chief Marketing Officer and then as Marketing Director. Miquel Àngel Garcia was appointed Managing Director, Consumer Products Division of Olympus Europa Holding GmbH in April 2011.

  • Heinz Jacqui was born on 8 January 1961 in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, Germany. He studied mechanical Engineering and Process Engineering Technology in Kaiserslautern and, in 1984 graduated with a degree in Engineering.

    Professional career
    Heinz Jacqui began his professional career in 1984 as a Research & Development Engineer at an engineering firm.  Two years later he moved to Drägerwerk AG in Lübeck. where he handled a variety of roles including Managing Director in Shanghai (China), and President global Business Units of  Neonatology, Intensive Care and Architectural Systems.

    In 2004 Heinz Jacqui was made Executive Managing Director at Olympus Winter & Ibe GmbH, as well as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Celon AG. In 2008 he was appointed as Executive Managing Director, Olympus Surgical Technologies Europe (OSTE) and made a member of the management board of Olympus Europa Holding. In addition he has been assigned as Executive Group Vice President of Olympus Gyrus America and Board Member of Olympus Corporation America.

  • Stefan Kaufmann was born on 24 January 1968 in Frankfurt, Germany. Between 1990 and 1993 he combined his studies at a College of Applied Sciences (Diplom Betriebswirt BA) with practical training at the Augsburg branch of Karstadt department stores, and further studies in the German town of Heidenheim an der Brenz.

    Professional career
    Stefan Kaufmann started working for the Karstadt chain of German department stores in 1990. In 2000 he moved to Thomas Cook to take up the role of Head of Corporate Human Resources Development and, in 2003 he joined Olympus as the General Manager of Human Resources.

    Since joining Olympus, Stefan Kaufmann has re-established the General Affairs Department. He then went on to develop Corporate Governance and finally Corporate Communications & Marketing Services. At the Corporate Division he is responsible for the smooth running of business infrastructure as a business partner for the Group Companies.

    Stefan Kaufmann was appointed Managing Director, Corporate Division of Olympus Europa Holding GmbH in 2008, and in addition Managing Director Olympus Czech Group in 2010.

  • Nick Williams was born on 14 November 1960 in Middlesbrough, UK. He spent his childhood in a number of British towns, before living in different countries around the world. From the age of 12 he attended Highgate School in London and subsequently went to Bangor University in Wales, graduating with a degree in Marine Zoology in 1980. 

    Professional career
    After spending five years in the pharmaceutical industry, Nick Williams joined Olympus KeyMed in 1986 as a Territory Manager in the Medical Division. He rose through the ranks, taking on various roles including Head of Medical, and Divisional Manager – Medical.

    Nick Williams has broad experience of Olympus’s businesses around the world. After a three year secondment as Senior Vice President at Olympus Surgical & Industrial America, he returned to Olympus KeyMed in 2007 as Executive Director, Medical Business & Operations.

    In April 2011 he was appointed the Group Managing Director of Olympus KeyMed with responsibility for the company’s industrial business, and he currently sits on the board of Olympus Europa Holding GmbH.
