Olympus High Speed xD-Picture Card™

Olympus photographers now have access to a range of unrivalled High Speed xD-Picture Cards™, allowing them to achieve lightning-fast image capture and startling new image effects. The new High Speed xD-Picture Cards™, when used in conjunction with Olympus digital cameras and software, will enable users to create amazing 'art effects' and 3D images.

Favourite images can be made into eye-catching cartoon art, oil painting or water colour, while the 3D function makes it simple to create pictures that leap out at the viewer. These features mean users will have as much fun enhancing images captured with Olympus cameras as they do searching for the perfect shot.

Even a perfectly-exposed, crisp image does not always convey the mood intended. As experts will testify, digital photography can offer a remedy – one that will be all the more powerful with the release of the Olympus High Speed xD-Picture Cards. 'Oil painting', 'cartoon art' and 'water colour' effects mimic a painter and express the vital elements of a picture while ignoring any irrelevant detail. 3D function: in your face photos

The most powerful photographic images have the uncanny ability to appear jumping from their frames. The new '3D function' makes this effect more impressive and achievable than ever, giving the impression of solidity and depth when images are viewed through red-blue 3D filter glasses or a cross view frame. The results can either be viewed on-screen or printed on paper.

To access these features on the xD-Picture Card users need to simply enter the activation code provided into 'Olympus Master 1.4'. This image processing software can be downloaded from the Olympus website, for the users who already have the previous version of Olympus Master installed to their PCs.

The creative freedom offered by the new cards compliment the already popular 'Panorama' function enabled by the present generation of Olympus xD-Picture Cards, which are available alongside the High Speed xD-Picture Cards.
