The more you see, the more you can treat

To provide endoscopists with the best possible image quality, right from the start our engineers were determined to add High-Definition Television(HDTV) compatibility to the new EVIS EXERA II series. The optical system, the CCD chip, digital output and the monitor - all components of the imaging chain were newly developed. The HDTV images produced by EVIS EXERA II are composed of double the number of scanning lines (1080 vs. 576) and horizontal resolution than used in conventional video systems. 1080 scanning lines means a drastic increase in image information and product pictures that are incredibly sharp and detailed.

HDTV & Narrow Band Imaging

With HDTV, it is now possible to accurately render even minute capillaries and subtle mucosal structures throughout the screen area. This dramatically improved image quality has the potential to enhance diagnostic capability.

The following pictures show the brilliance achieved with HDTV alone and in combination with Narrow Band Imaging and indigo carmine.

First comments on HDTV

Several endoscopy opinion leaders focusing on imaging already tested EVIS EXERA II. Their first comments are quite promising:

"It looks like perfect 3D images !"

"Even the smallest details can be detected immediately"

"One word: "Brilliant !"

"Now I see why it took five years to develop"

"The most perfect imaging system is the human eye - the second best is EVIS EXERA II"
