In the conventional device exchange, the physician withdraws the catheter at the same rate the assistant pushes the guidewire into the device, thus maintaining guidewire position in the biliary duct. The V-Holder virtually eliminates the coordination issues normally associated with device exchange and can significantly reduce the liklihood of access loss.
Innovation: When used in combination with the Olympus V-Scope and EndoTherapy accessories, the V-Holder allows enhanced, confidence inspiring removal of accessories over the guidewire with no loss of access.
Simplicity: With the V-Holder, a physician can manipulate both the guidewire and the EndoTherapy accessory at the same time. This simple movement virtually eliminates guidewire slippage and the potential of access loss.
Reliability: The V-Holder ensures that the guidewire will stay in place - even when not locked - during caheter exchange.
