Ultrasonic lithotripsy is widely accepted as a minimally invasive approach to calculi disintegration and fragment removal. The LUS-2 includes an ergonomic, lightweight transducer to reduce operator fatigue and allowing improved probe control. Both the application of ultrasonic energy and suction of remaining fragments are controlled from the dual foot switch. Upon detecting disconnection, probe damage or transducer malfunction, an alarm sounds and a warning indicator illuminates.
