By adding the side window tube that is open on one side, therapeutic operations under a more stable view become possible. That plays an important role especially regarding tumours near Houston's valves. The TEM system can also be used in combination with semiconductor laser etc.

Olympus offers long and short versions of tubes with side or front window. For insertion of the tubes the appropriate obstructers are mandatory.
