This extra-long resectoscope has been designed for resection procedures in patients with long urethras or semi-flexible penis implants.
The TURis Long system has been designed to allow the performance of TURis in a comfortable manner in patients with long urethras or large bladders. Two different, specially adapted outer sheaths allow efficient, safe resection in saline of the bladder or the prostate without having to push the resectoscope too far.Add to
Visualisation is improved in continuous-flow mode and a circular array of holes at the end of the resectoscope results in low pressure and reduced blockages.
The long resectoscope has a modular design, allowing flexibility; the system can be used with a 24 Fr single-flow or 27 Fr continuous-flow sheath.
TURis resection is associated with a reduced risk of TUR syndrome, minimised depth of tissue denaturation and reduced nerve stimulation.
Effortless transurethral resection in saline (TURis), with its superior levels of efficacy and safety, is now possible in patients with special anatomies thanks to this extra-long resectoscope. The extra length means that transurethral bladder resections (TUR B) can be conducted in saline (TURis-B) in patients with long urethras or large bladders without having to push the resectoscope in too far; thus, avoiding trauma to the patient. The modular design with a choice of single-flow or continuous-flow sheaths allows the long resectoscope to be tailored to the specific procedure.
TURis resection system
The TURis resection system is associated with a reduced risk of TUR syndrome, minimised depth of tissue denaturation and reduced nerve stimulation, enabling you to treat your patients safely and effectively.
Working length of 272mm
With an outstanding working length of 272mm, you can perform TURis in patients with special anatomies in a more relaxed way – without having to push the resectoscope in too far to reach your target.
Single- or continuous-flow sheaths
You can configure the long resectoscope to suit your needs, be it prostate or bladder resection. You can use the system with a 24 Fr single-flow or 27 Fr continuous-flow sheath, giving you greater flexibility.
Special TUR-BT sheath
A sheath is available specifically for TUR-BT, which has an increased number of irrigation holes arranged in a circular array at the distal end; this enables you to conduct TUR-BT at reduced pressure and prevents the outflow blocking.
