Experiment Manager The Experiment manger is an intuitive graphical interface for experiment planning, set-up and execution. Icons represent simple commands, groups of commands or entire sub-experiments. Just a simple drag-and-drop assembly of these icons is necessary to set-up experiments. The definition of individual exposure times, attenuation values and ROIs is possible for each image acquisition command. TTL pulses and wait commands are included in order to integrate and control peripherals. The experiment plans are automatically stored together with the image data in database for a proper documentation of experimental results.

Spectral unmixing cell* imaging systems were the first to implement Spectral Imaging and Linear Unmixing, a technique adapted from satellite imaging into widefield fluorescence microscopy. With this powerful method it becomes possible to ascertain the contribution of different fluorochromes to the total signal and, by redistribution of the intensity, to restore a clear signal for each color channel undisturbed by emission from the other fluorochrome. |

Image processing Beside spectral unmixing cell^M imaging software provides several other basic and advanced image processing tools: contrast adjustment by look-up table, auto- or manual scaling, filters, shading correction, background subtraction, arithmetic and geometric functions... |

Image analysis
| Measurements and analyses: number, length, distance, grey value, histograms, line profiles, tables, diagrams, ratiometric analysis, DF/F calculation. Sophisticated, structured database for archiving and documentation | |
