Realistic and Convenient 3D Perception

Olympus ENDOEYE 3D is designed to provide a subtle 3D perception so that surgeons can perform operations without any stress. With our enhanced 3D imaging system we have successfully developed a natural 3D perception of distances within narrow cavities as well as a high depth of field for clearer images. Early tests are showing that operators felt comfortable in viewing without having to get accustomed to it.

Introducing Our New ENDOEYE FLEX 3D

The new ENDOEYE FLEX 3D uses a joystick to shift the field of view smoothly to the desired location in a single action. This allows surgeons to obtain the best viewing angle quickly while also making it easy to track movements in the organ being viewed. With the shorter flexible tip, it becomes easier to maintain distance in a narrow cavity.

General Surgery — Colorectal Surgery

Urological Surgery

In the case of malignant diseases on the kidney such as renal cancer either a radical or partial nephrectomy is performed. This can be either performed using an open-surgery or a laparoscopic approach. However, laparoscopic radical nephrectomy has been shown to result in lower morbidity, improving patient recovery ( 12 ) and laparoscopic partial nephrectomy shows equivalent oncological results with both approaches ( 13,14 ).
