Stone Management

Ureteroscopy is the treatment of choice for small and large kidney stones due to its clear clinical advantages that meet the financial goals of your practice. Olympus' innovative total procedure solutions consisting of flexible and rigid ureteroscopes as well as stone management disposables enable greater clinical success such as high stone freeness rates in a single procedure and improved patient safety.

Access and dilation

Access and dilation

Getting access to the ureter or kidney is essential for every urologist treating stone burdens. Olympus recognizes the importance of achieving this access in a safe and time-efficient manner. Therefore, we provide a comprehensive lineup of nitinol and PTFE guidewires with various tip configurations to incorporate anatomical differences. To complement the advanced scope technology, we have designed a range of single-use dilation solutions, from guidewires to balloon dilators and access sheaths.

Visualization

Visualization

See what you have never seen before – the CCD imaging sensor in the distal end of the videoscope provides a moiré-free bright image with high-color reproduction without the need for a camera head. This imaging portfolio is then further strengthened by single-use accessories that facilitate the procedure.

Lithotripsy

Lithotripsy

Successful stone fragmentation depends largely on the ability to accurately apply the appropriate level of energy at the correct impact frequency to the exact target area of the stone. Olympus offers powerful advanced lithotripsy technology options for the fragmentation and removal of kidney, ureteral, and bladder stones regardless of the size, composition, or location.

Stone Retrieval

Stone Retrieval

Olympus has focused on developing retrieval technology that simplifies the removal of stone fragments and tissue of all shapes and sizes in all anatomical situations while also minimizing patient trauma and reducing procedure times.

Drainage

Drainage

We offer a broad selection of premium-quality stents from specialty to everyday usage. Our Single-J and Double-J as well as UroGuide stent minimize encrustation thanks to being made of silicone. Silicone is used in various medical applications because of its softness which allows for easy insertion and removal. Olympus understands your procedural needs and has pioneered advanced drainage technology without compromise. As an indication of the quality of the material, all TecoFlex stents are approved for 365 days of indwelling time.

Innovative materials for improved treatment

Innovative materials like nitinol and hydrophilic coatings facilitate stress-free ureteroscopy with reduced operation time, high stone-free-rate and fast recovery.

Access and dilation

The UroPass sheath and Olympus guidewires enable atraumatic access to the kidney with gentle dilation of the anatomy. The ureteroscopes like URF-V2 or URF-P6 can be reinserted with minimal risk of strictures or scope damage via the access sheath.

Visualisation

The URF-V2 achieves a new standard in smooth insertability and high image quality. Introducing a micromini CCD, the URF-V2 features an extremely slim 8.4 Fr shaft, comparable with a fiberscope. Improved visualization, facilitated maneuverability and reduced operator stress are now within reach.

Lithotripsy

The ShockPulse-SE is a novel, dual action lithotripsy system that uses proprietary technology to achieve outstanding efficiency in stone fragmentation. The large lumen and intuitive single-handed control making kidney, ureter and bladder stone management safer and more effective.

Retrieval

The UltraCatch and X-Catch nitinol baskets open gently for safe capture of stones of various sizes. The atraumatic no-tip design enables smooth extraction without vessel injury. High durability facilitates multiple opening & closing.

Drainage

All of our stents are approved for 365 days of indwelling. Hydrophilic coatings minimise encrustation and ease insertion. Tecoflex stents provide ultimate patient comfort without sacrificing physician placement requirements. Time-tested silicone stents facilitate placement and removal allowing for long-term stenting.
