City & Travel

This diverse portfolio of pictures in so many different conditions and settings was achieved with just one camera, the OM-D E-M1X and two lenses, the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm F2.8 PRO and the M.Zuiko Digital ED 7-14mm F2.8 PRO, that all easily fit in a small bag. This is how mobile and flexible the Olympus Cameras ecosystem has become.

The discreet nature of the lenses and small bodies allows for fast street shots without awkward moments and glances. The amazing image stabilization makes it even easier - you don’t need tripods or monopods. The splash-proof bodies and lenses allow the photographer to continue shooting whatever the weather. A particularly useful trait when you have a limited amount of time at your disposal.

On our first day my friend, the actress Vasia Badiou and I walked around the main tourist spots and hidden alleys of the city and in beautiful sunshine.

As predicted however, the second day was rainy and dark. We hid inside during the morning but the weather did not improve. So we decided to brave the outdoors anyway and this is where the image stabilization capabilities of the new camera shone. The OM-D E-M1 X can capture the most amazing photos, shaking, under torrential rain and freezing cold, and even in grim light.

As the sun sets, everything turns blue. We experience amazing and famous “Blue Prague”. And than darkness all around us but still no tripod or monopod is needed. The powerful image stabilization system allows for perfect handheld shots with 1 or even 5 seconds, and at 50 megapixel at these shutter speeds!
This was a true testament of the system’s power, mobility and flexibility.
